Australian Story on the ABC last night featured Wooleen Station, a spectacularly beautiful slice of the outback about 700kms north of Perth in the Murchison district of WA. It is owned by David Pollock and his partner, Frances Jones.
If you missed the program, at least have a look at their website www.wooleen.com.au and see what magnificent effors they are making towards conservation of the land on which they live, that had been almost ruined by years of overstocking.
The program presented beautiful images of the property and the heritage listed homestead, to which David and Frances now warmly welcome visitors. And it's mentioned here on my website, as they particularly welcome fly-in guests. I'll gather more details about the airstrip etc and add them here as soon as available.
