Shandonvale Station
Welcome to Shandonvale. Their mobs of Dorper sheep are the stars of the show out here..
You'll find peace and beauty in spades at the waterholes around the station.
And you'll find very appealing places to chill with a refreshing beverage too ...
Like the rather gorgeous spa, overhanging the river.
Here come the gourmet nibbles and champas to tide us over the arduous spa session.
Deon will get you involved in mustering if it's on, plus any number of farm activities that need doing.
You will be invited to a beautiful dinner in the homestead with the family each night. Your host, Deon (far left), is also an incredible chef.
Here's the renovated shearers' quarters where you'll lay down your head!
Target practice anyone? This got our eye in for clay pidgeon shooting, which was next on the agenda.
Going on our target results, the clay pidgeons are pretty safe.
The pace is exhausting.
Shandonvale homestead, a few hundred metres from your quarters.
Deon collects fresh produce for lunch from their robust vege garden.
Lane will take you out on her morning ritual feeding all her four-legged family ... and there are loads of them.
Rossy's found a little mate who couldn't keep up with the mob on the muster.
And another little friend ... we fed ducks, chooks, pigs, a pet emu, lambs, dairy cows ..
The shearers' quarters, which Deon rebuilt inside and out - a truly beautiful result. There are currently four double bedrooms on offer.
Thanks so much Shandonvale ... we'll be back!!
